Busitema University is a Public University established by Statutory Instrument No. 22, 2007, enacted by the Parliament of Uganda on May 10, 2007. Busitema is a Multi multi-campus university located in Eastern Uganda. The Vision of the University is to be ‘A Centre of Academic and Professional Excellence in Science, Technology and Innovation’ and its Mission is ‘To provide high standard training, engage in quality research and outreach for socio-economic transformation and sustainable development. The University Council in March 2020 approved a Graduate Fellow Policy.

Busitema University is a multi-campus Public University located in Eastern Uganda. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill vacant positions at the University. Interested persons who meet the requirements should submit 3 sets of applications duly signed together with detailed Curriculum Vitae with names of three referees, Academic Certificates and Transcripts and copies of Appointment Letters, 3 recent passport photographs in envelopes addressed to the University Secretary, Busitema University, P.O. The Ministry of Health Uganda, on 30th January 2025 identified and confirmed an Ebola case at Mulago National Referral Hospital. This particular patient, now late, had been to several health facilities in Kampala and also in Mbale.
