The event, held under the theme "Improving livelihoods through Data Science and Interdisciplinary Research in Uganda," featured an array of insightful presentations and discussions by distinguished experts in the field.

The Epi Fellows, under the IDEA Fellowship Programme (EDCTP-2: CSA2020E-3126) which is led by Busitema University have successfully organised and delivered on a 2 day conference on emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases as part of their training, engagement with academia, scientists, policy makers and international organisations. Professor Peter Olupot-Olupot is the coordinator of the IDEA Fellowship Programme and the Patron of the annual conferences under this programme.It is the first such annual conference organised under Busitema University.
